Onboarding turns membership from a form submission into a controlled relationship. It explains what has been accepted, what is expected, what can be accessed and what remains outside the Association’s role.

Fit, category, capacity, conduct and safe boundaries are checked.
Accepted members receive a member number, route, status and onboarding pack.
Member reads the rules, confirms conduct, identifies interests and receives suitable resource links.
Member may be invited to appropriate resources, notices, circles or contribution routes.
Status, access, fit and next steps are reviewed before deeper involvement.
Assign member number, category, status, approval date, renewal date and consent fields.
Use the welcome template. Keep it calm, clear, non-coercive and practical.
Send membership pack, conduct standard, privacy notice and relevant resource index.
Confirm the Association is not legal, tax, medical, financial or regulated professional advice.
Record whether the member is primarily learning, cultural, family, contributor, digital or general.
Set a 30/60/90 day checkpoint or renewal note depending on membership maturity.
